Henry County Burn Ban

The Henry County Judge Executive has implemented a burn ban for all of Henry County. This is in addition to the Red Flag Warning issued by the National Weather Service. Red Flag Warning in effect

Herny County and all surrounding Counties are under a Red Flag Warning until 8 PM tonight. This is addition to the burn ban implemented by the Henry County Judge Executive.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

The 2022 Ky Forest Fire Fall Fire Season is now in effect

The 2022 Ky Forest Fire Fall Fire Season is now in effect and runs from October 1st to December 15th. This is enacted by the KY Division of Forestry. While this season is in effect, if you are within 150" of a wooded area, you are only permitted to burn between the hours of 6 PM and 6 AM.

Structure Fire on Maddox Ridge Road

On Sunday November 24th at 10:28 a.m. Campbellsburg Fire and Rescue was dispatched for a residential structure fire at 9608 Maddox Ridge Road near Port Royal. Minutes after dispatch a CFRD firefighter that lives nearby advised that it was fully involved. Car 1101 arrived confirming a two story residence fully involved with no one at home. Tanker 1168 and Engine 1131 arrived and began extinguishment. ... (Full Story)

Fall Forest Fire Hazard Season Begins October 1st

The KY Division of Forestry designates October 1st through December 15th as the Fall Forest Fire Hazard Season. During this time State Law prohibits open burning within 150 feet of woodland or brush land between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. This is also true for the Spring Forest Fire Hazard Season which runs from February 15th through April 30th.
