On Sunday November 24th at 10:28 a.m. Campbellsburg Fire and Rescue was dispatched for a residential structure fire at 9608 Maddox Ridge Road near Port Royal. Minutes after dispatch a CFRD firefighter that lives nearby advised that it was fully involved. Car 1101 arrived confirming a two story residence fully involved with no one at home. Tanker 1168 and Engine 1131 arrived and began extinguishment. The fire was under control in about 45 minutes. There was a delay in reporting the fire due to no one being home and the house being a long distance from the road. By the time it was reported it was completely involved and was a total loss. Responding units were Car 1101, Engine 1131, Tanker 1168, Tanker 1169 and Forestry 1173. Mutual aid from Ky River Fire, New Castle Fire and Henry County EMS.
